Essie Resort Collection

So I've been looking for the color First Timer for a long time and couldn't track it down anywhere. Last week when I was out shopping with my cousin Kristen she spotted the mini set of the Resort Collection and since she wasn't going to buy it I was ecstatic to pick it up. Even though I was only specifically looking for First Timer the rest of the Colors were beautiful and I was happy to have the set. So last week I painted my nails with First Timer and In the Cabana and may I just say that both these polishes were so easy and enjoyable to work with. They both dried to an opaque, cream finish in two coats. The coats went on evenly and the dry time was pretty fast. The polish finishes with a nice glossy sheen even with no top coat. The only downside to the polish is for those who like to wear their polish for a week or more. I did notice some chipping at the tips of my nails by about day 4 or 5 but I am pretty hard I my nails. So all in all I'm impressed with year polishes and for someone that changes. Polish frequently they are perfect for me.

Pure Ice Polishes

So I recently came across Pure Ice Polish in my local WalMart. I've heard people on YouTube talk about it and how good it was and how affordable.  It was selling for 1.97 a bottle at my WalMart so I picked up 3 bottles. A periwinkle type color or blueish purple whatever you want to call it with a cream finish as seen in the picture called Jailbate then the sparkle color with teal silver and purple glitter called Over You. The other color I picked up was like a teal, metallic finish color called Get in Line. Jailbate covered to an opaque finish in two even coats dry time wasn't too bad either. It left a shiny finish even without a top coat and was just a pleasure to work with. Over Yoi was used as a glitter top coat and it dried fast wasn't goopy and was good to work with. The dud in the lot was Get in Line it wet on thin so I needed many coats and it took forever to dry. The polish ended up getting ruined because it bubbled and wouldn't dry right so I took it off. I don't think I will repurchase a metallic finish polish from this line again but will definitely buy more cream and glitters.

Time to drag out the Colors

I love nail polish and I especially love it in spring because I love the pastels and bright colors. Don't get me wrong I love fall and winter too each season has special meaning and colors I love to wear. So whether you're going to rock som pastels or some nice bright colors it's time to drag them out ad experiment with some of your tired and true combos or some new ones .

CoverGirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm

So I decided to try some of these out this particular one is in Watermelon Twist. I absolutely love the color it's the perfect bright pink for spring. I'm liking the formula it's super light feeling on your lips and moisturizing. You can later it on to make the color more intense without it getting gooey and yucky feeling on your lips. The lasting power is not bad but not as long as the Revlon's Kissable Balm Stains. However, there is nothing that says this product is supposed to be a stain so lasting power is not meant to be as long. This product is exactly what it is marketed to be a glossy balmy color. The colors come in a descent range. I believe there is something for everyone. I give this product 1.5 thumbs up

Revlon's Girly

So this polish is gorgeous but it takes several coats to build it up. I recommend using thin coats as I got lazy any used thick ones and it took forever to dry and bubbles under the top coat. But this is due to me rushing and being lazy. I typically like most of the Revlon's polishes .
